Joseph Suffolk - Richard Reynolds 1836

Joseph Suffolk arrived in Port Jackson on the 1st of March 1836. He and his wife Jane were unassisted immigrants (posh, compared to all the assisted immigrants and criminals in my family tree) travelling in steerage (less posh) of a barque laden with merchandise and one other passenger.





Steerage.
Frederick Nicholls -- [Country:] England -- [Profession trade or calling:] Needle Manuf.
John Suffolk -- Ditto -- Ribbon [Manufacturer]
Jane Suffolk (wife)

They must have been good friends or thoroughly sick of the sight of Frederick Nicholls by the end of the voyage! The Sydney Monitor (9 March 1836) gives a list of the huge amount of stuff on board:
